Statement of Faith
God: We believe in one holy, perfect, all sufficient and eternal God, existing in three equal parts: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe God is the author of life and the creator of everything. (1Peter 1:2, Acts 17:24-28)
Man: We believe we were created in God’s image designed to be in relationship and bring glory to our creator. We believe that we have all sinned, broken our relationship with God and are subject to God’s wrath. It is only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ we can be rescued, reconciled and renewed. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 3:23-26) Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sins, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates, unifies and indwells the body of believers. He renews, empowers, guides and equips the Church body, leading it to truth in faith and a life that follows Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the seal of Jesus Christ in the life of a believer. (John 16:8-11, Romans 8:9, 1Corinthains 12:12-14, Ephesians 1:13) |
The Bible: We believe the Bible is the true word of God, which He uses to speak to us. The Bible is inspired by the one true God, and it is eternal and inerrant. (2Timothy 3:16, 2Peter 1:20-21)
Jesus: We believe Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man. He is the image of the invisible God. He was born of the Virgin Mary and He is perfect in nature, teaching and obedience. He was always with God and is God. Through Him all things were made. Jesus came as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, and it is only through His death and resurrection we may have a restored relationship with our eternal God. Jesus lived a perfect sinless life. He was crucified for our sins and rose from the grave demonstrating His victory over death. He is now seated at the right hand of God and is worthy of our worship and praise. (John 1:1-5, John 11:25, John 14:6, Acts 2:33, Colossians 1:15, Hebrews 1:1-3, 1John 2:2) Church: We believe the Church is composed of all who follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and have been justified by His redeeming grace. The Church is the bride of Christ and is composed of multiple local churches. The Church exists to worship and glorify God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The mission of the Church is to serve God, see the true gospel preached and to be a living testimony to the eternal God. (Acts 2:42-47, 1Corinthains 12:12-14, 2Corinthains 11:2) |
